NOIRE DE COSSEBOEUF/15 seeds per pack

This variety is debated among collectors, with some considering it the same as Purple Calabash. Comparisons suggest they are identical. Featured in the 2004 Seed Savers Yearbook, it’s rarely available, with Solana seeds being one of the few sources.

The fruit weighs 150 to 250 grams, with a flattened, strongly ribbed shape, and a purple-red to deep purple color, darker at the shoulders. It has wine-colored flesh with a unique flavor, best eaten "al dente" to retain its taste. The variety is resistant to diseases, particularly mildew.
